iPad Pro M1 11 inch vs 12.9 inch. Hey guys, I would appreciate some advice on what iPad I should get. I’m in the process of upgrading my 2017 iPad Pro to an m1 iPad Pro. However after finding out that the 12.9 inch iPad has an xdr display which I understand to be the display where black is really black, I’m unsure whether it’s worth it
Actually yes, the 11” has 120Hz (ProMotion). The difference is the lcd (Liquid Retina) on 11” and the mini-led (Liquid Retina XDR) on the 12.9”. Astralpanky_dez • 7 mo. ago. True but ipad pro 12.9 is elegantly and pleasing. Completely worth it as it keeps adding great features through updates.
The only time I’ve used the computer is when using Excel, and that is because the system that we use at work, sends an old excel file format that haven’t realized how to open it in my iPad. That being said: 100% full 12.9 iPad Pro.
I use the Ipad Pro 12.9 for art and drawing. And I use the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra for school, coding, work, and watching movies. You're gonna have to REALLY like the screen size to consider either one of these, or elae, it's pretty much money wasted. The Ipad Pro is quite big. The Tab S8 Ultra is enormous.
If you’re primarily going to be drawing at a desk and you don’t expect to haul your tablet around with the groceries ever, the 12.9 is great. The 12.9 is also great if you expect to use it a lot to show off portfolio pieces, or in meetings. If you expect to be carting your device around everywhere, get the 11, your arms and shoulders will
Edit: Plus my previous ipad pro is the 9.7 inch ipad pro from 2016, so this is going to be a huge upgrade for me, even with the 8gb model. If the bigger screen is not for you, just order the 11 inch. It will still have the future prof M1 chip, and the same storage and ram option, while being $300 cheaper, and $50 cheaper for the magic keyboard.

So I actually changed from the 11 to the 12.9 and honestly the 12.9 I can read write and multitask so much better. Reading holding the 12.9 is tiresome but with the smart keyboard as a stand I have zero issues. Writing on the 12.9 versus the 11in is so much better as the keyboard is like a regular size keyboard.
